Avec pareille motivation, il arrivera à se débrouiller seul, pour sûr. A moins que l'élément pris en référence soit en réalité très fallacieux et ne témoigne ni de vertu, ni de motivation.

The issue isn't whether there's a language barrier or not.
Lemme explain the locals' point of view, sugar coating not included:
The issue is that coming from a far distant place doesn't make your project any more noble or less common than the zillion people who,
just like you, for some reason believe that their mere w
anting to see the place really bad means that they
deserve getting that. It's the adult version of
Dadddddyyyyy pleeeeeeeaaaaaase take me to Disneylaaaaaand, pleaaaaaaase.
The difference being that we're not your dad. We're not free tour guides either.
We go beneath the surface to breathe. To get a break. Not to be your sherpa. Not to put up with a stranger who'd be asking scores of questions, that we'd be expected to painfully answer, while putting up with the intrusion
and being accountable to our peers for having someone who doesn't belong there tag along.
The suggestion that all it takes is a few brewskis to suddenly make us see things differently is... I don't know. Comparable to thinking that one free drink in a bar will get you laid, by the same lady who just a minute ago told you she wasn't interested?
Nah, bro.
An hour of my free time, doing the stuff
I like, is invaluable.
It'll It'd take a lot (I mean, a looooooooot) to sacrifice several hours of
my free time, to play make-a-wish and make it about what
you want.
What also bugs me is that you claim that you've been researching the topic for months, yet you manage the biggest possible of all faux-pas, asking directly for a tour,
and you only come here to ask for that favor once you're already in Paris? No reaching out before? No testing the waters? When I'm serious about something, I usually make sure something is feasible
before I embark on a costly journey. Especially when I know (because I've researched the topic for months) that the community is rather clammed up and difficult to penetrate. Devil's advocates will tell you that the "I'm here and I'm not giving up" approach could be perceived as having a flair of guilt-tripping, emotional blackmailing and using the pity card.

Good news: That's a great objective and an attainable challenge.
All you need is to put in a couple of hours to research the internet, find the map, find the clues regarding the possible entrances. Read up on English speaking testimonies of people who have done it, gear up based on the information you find, and off you go.
You'll enjoy it tremendously, because you'll be actually
exploring. Not following some self-infatuated twenty-something year old stranger who wants to act like a know-it-all guide.
