28 Hours and 1200+ kms later - VWPowered - Dim. 21 Fév. 2010 je desole c'est dans anglias mais je suis tres fatigue... snooze.. managed to get afew spots in from the journey down to the Aude department managed to cover no less than 1200 kms left 1am saturday morning arrived back home at 4 this morning, now very tired but had a great day out.. so the cars first... spotted whilst on top of a mountain, but full zoom shot confirms CF2 Weird J9 nice.... Both BMW's were together on one plot, now kickin myself for not checking out what the price was on it.. taken in the closest town to where our interview was at seems to be tat central, which we like.. around the corner was these.. and now onto some ruins... first was this 400m viewpoint from Mazamet then off to the ruined church of Saint-Pierre-de-Vals which they still bury people at which seemed abit weird.. their are some more pics here at the same place was also this abandoned water mill, rooms inside were massive not far away also stuck on the top of a mountain was the chateau of La Tourette-Cabardès, some beautiful view from up there at a guess by the stonework must predate 14th century.. awesome house built into the same mountain that houses the chateau.. i love the views from around here around the corner in the hamlet of Lastours features a couple of abandoned buildings.. firstly this smallish house lovely oak floors but the place had been raped of all its fireplaces, electric and anything else.. complete with mini tower the next was a business, not sure what maybe someone with intellect in this department could help.. place was massive.. umm 2006 calender means place has been seriously raped of all its internals, shame.. full size of this letter is here if you can tell me what its on about or what they used to do.. .. next up was the ruined Chateau de Belcastel, but we couldnt get near it (no roads) next time we'll get there.. and finally the Domaine-de-Lys unknown history appeared to be a working farm of sorts but was abit freaky too, seems to feature 2 corner towers but are set inside the building... inside the main house all floors (presumed four by the levels) were now one so many outbuildings, mostly made of concrete which was cracked all over.. weird building these housed machinery downstairs and what looks like workers houses above, at least 4, with 2 rooms in each, in the first a fireplace/sink (in concrete and cracked badly..) the second a bedroom, but not one had a toilet nice.. some of machinery etc which seemed left behind U23 Citroen Sociatie Français needs no intro.. the weirdest building note just to the left part of a ruined tower.. 2nd tower note lockable cage door, spooky as this was only accessed from inside the house.. curved metre thick walls of the tower another cage inside too (note this was on the first floor and couldnt be acessed easy from the outside) but up the stairs was bang in front of you.. holiday anyone.. stairs were also concrete there are more pics here if intrested and that ya lot, hope you enjoyed, i'm now off for a large coffee |
